Commissioners honour young artists

Students in Ramsey have been honoured by commissioners for doing their part to celebrate the anniversary of the town’s most famous ship.

Pupils from Scoill Ree Gorree and Audlyn School took part in a painting competition marking 150 years since the Star of India was launched from Ramsey shipyard.

The contest was organised by Ramsey Town Commissioners

At Auldyn School, seven year olds Wilma Dalugdugan, Corey Cassidy and Hope Goldie, won a certificate and gift voucher – as did 11 year olds Natasha Noble, Arabella Ayen, and Amber Black from Scoill Ree Gorree.
