Committal for man accused of nine sexual offences

33-year-old denies charges and will stand trial

Committal proceedings against a man accused of nine sexual offences have taken place at Douglas Courthouse.

William Alfred Graham Duggan, of Sumark Croft in Douglas, denies six counts of indecent assault and three of gross indecency with or towards a person under the age of 16.

The offences were allegedly committed between February 2000 and August 2012.

The 33-year-old will stand trial at the Court of General Gaol Delivery; he’s been bailed until his first appearance before that court on a date to be fixed.

Update: At a pre-trial review at Douglas Courthouse on 12 January 2024 Mr Duggan was told his five-day trial will start on 8 July. Bail continues until that date.
