Committee hears endoscopy evidence

Service consolidation caused outcry in Ramsey

The Health and Social Care Minister will give evidence on a decision to consolidate the Island's endoscopy services today.

Tynwald's Social Affairs Policy Review Committee is investigating whether or not the department made the right choice to relocate it to Noble's Hospital.

There was public outcry in Ramsey at the time of the announcement - with many claiming due time, and consideration hadn't been applied.

Chair David Cretney MLC, and MHKs David Ashford and Martyn Perkins will hear from Minister Kate Beecroft and her chief executive, Dr Malcolm Couch.

Members of the public are welcome to attend from 11am in the Legislative Council Chamber in the Legislative Buildings in Douglas.
