Community spirit in Farmhill has been hailed as key in a long-running battle to save an historic manor house.
After a campaign by locals which began nearly a decade ago, Heritage Homes has finally given up on its plans to re-develop the site of Farmhill Manor.
The stately residence, which sits on three and a half acres of private gardens, has now been sold.
Douglas councillor Bill Malarkey, who was instrumental in a residents’ campaign to protect it from re-development, says it’s great news for residents in the area.
