Follows feud over noise
Two neighbours have appeared in court over two separate incidents after a feud over noise.
Thirty-seven-year-old James Robert Ashworth, of Duke Street in Douglas, appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas courthouse.
He pleaded guilty to one count of using threatening words or behaviour.
Prosecution advocate Roger Kane told the court Ashworth had gotten drunk on 16 May and gone to his neighbour's door at around 7pm.
Ashworth pounded on the door and threatened his neighbour – who'd appeared in court earlier this year after a similar incident.
The court heard the two had been friends until around 18 months ago when they fell out.
Mrs Hughes told Ashworth it wasn't a good idea to confront somebody while drunk adding the two tenants would have to learn to live together in the block of flats.
Ashworth was given a one-year conditional discharge as well as being ordered to pay £125 towards prosecution costs.
