ManxNFU says competition is a barrier for those looking to enter industry
The price of land is preventing would-be farmers from entering the sector.
That's from the general secretary of the Manx National Farmers' Union who says there are people interested in getting started in the industry.
The organisation has been calling for more support for farmers from the next administration in the run up to this year's General Election.
It takes place on 24 September.
