
Douglas Council says it will name members who are found to have breached its rules.
Yesterday, a meeting at Douglas Town Hall heard one councillor is currently under investigation for misusing council facilities and breaking rules over conflicts of interest.
But the current council rules meant anyone breaching guidelines couldn’t be named – even if the case against them was proven.
Yesterday, however, the local authority voted to reverse that policy and make names public in future.
