18-year-old allegedly targeted houses 'at random'
A teenager from Ramsey has appeared in court accused of stealing women's underwear from several properties in the town.
Peter Evan Corteen, of Lezayre Road, is yet to enter a plea to the offences of burglary and theft which were allegedly committed between 22 and 29 April.
The court heard 14 residents had reported a number of thefts, and attempted thefts, to police from tumble driers, washing machines, cars and vans last month.
The 18-year-old allegedly targeted houses 'at random' taking bras and knickers from within outbuildings, a sunroom and from a washing line, with homeowners finding doors and garden gates ajar.
An application for bail was refused by magistrates.
He'll next appear in court on 20 June via live link from the Isle of Man Prison.
