Court for teen accused of stabbing victim eight times

17-year-old charged with wounding offence

A teenager has appeared in court today (9 September) accused of stabbing a woman in Peel.

Dylan Craig Minton, of Kerroo Coar, has been charged with wounding the female victim with intent.

The 17-year-old allegedly carried out the attack on the evening of 4 September in a lane which runs parallel to Bluebell Close.

At Douglas Courthouse the prosecutor told the court the victim had sustained eight ‘significant’ stab wounds to her back, groin, arm and abdomen.

The teenager has also been accused of being concerned in the supply of cannabis.

There was no application for bail and he was remanded at the secure care home Cronk Sollysh until his next court appearance on 17 September.

 

Update: At Douglas Courthouse on 17 September a committal date - where the case will be elevated to the Court of General Gaol Delivery - was set for 5 November. There was no application for bail and the teen was further remanded.
