Courts issue £21k fines for tax and NI offenders

More than £20,800 in penalties faced by businesses and individuals

Fines totalling nearly £21,000 have been imposed on three individuals, and 12 businesses, for tax and National Insurance offences.

Two people who failed to submit their Income Tax return forms on time were fined a total of £1,900.

Another individual who did not comply with a notice to submit accounts in support of a tax return received a £500 penalty.

Additionally businesses that failed to pay Income Tax instalment payments, and/or Class 1 National Insurance contributions, by the due date faced total fines of £18,440.
