Reayrt-Ny-Baie closed to visitors
Cases of Covid-19 have been identified in a Douglas residential home.
Reayrt-Ny-Baie, on Albert Terrace, has closed to visitors and new admissions with immediate effect to avoid further spread of the virus.
Residents, and their families, have been made aware of the situation which will be reviewed on a daily basis.
Head of Adult Social Care Operations for Manx Care, Jonathan Carey said: "Closing Reayrt-ny-Baie has not been an easy decision but it is the right decision in order to protect the residents living there.
"We do understand how difficult this is for residents and their families. However we are helping them to maintain all forms of communication and ensure they remain as connected as possible at the moment."
Manx Radio has contacted Manx Care for further comment.
