Incident stopped before spreading to oil tank
Fire crews were called to reports of an oil tank fire at a property in Glen Vine this afternoon.
Responding at around 3.15pm, they discovered upon arrival that it was a bin fire which was in danger of spreading to the oil tank.
Officers quickly extinguished the fire and cooled the tank, which prevented it from igniting.
A thermal imaging camera was used to check the surrounding area and identify any hot spots.
Crews remained in attendance for about an hour.
