
It’s a proud occasion for a Manx family today (Sat).
The cruiser “Azamara Quest” will be in Douglas bay and the captain is a Manxman - Carl Smith.
He hails from Peel where his mum Linda still lives.
He is the grandson of the late Neville and Eva Kelly, who farmed Ballacross Farm near Peel for many years before retiring to Kirk Michael.
He is also a great nephew of Wynn Kneale from Glen Maye.
Whilst he was here, Captain Smith swapped his cruise liner for a slightly smaller vessel - and took part in the World Tin Bath Championships in Castletown!
