Organisation overseen gas since 2020
The Island's gas regulator would need greater power to properly regulate the market.
That's from the chief executive of the Communications and Utilities Regulatory Authority which has responsibility for overseeing the gas sector.
The statutory board took charge of gas regulation in December 2020, with the power to set parameters which Manx Gas must stick to when setting tariffs.
But Ivan Kiely says there are some areas that may still need greater oversight:
CoMin making 'significant and determined efforts' to implement recommendations from Ranson review
Rain events 'difficult to forecast' on the Isle of Man
Planning permission granted for 26 industrial units
Port St Mary Commissioners urging residents not to 'struggle in silence'
