Hearing diarised for June
A Douglas man who was found guilty of causing death by dangerous driving has been given permission to appeal his conviction and sentence.
Jackson Joseph Paul was convicted after a trial at the Court of General Gaol Delivery in February and sentenced to six years in prison.
It followed the death of Onchan resident Jordan Thomas after he fell from the bonnet of the 35-year-old’s BMW on Harbour Road on 25 February 2024.

At a directions hearing at Douglas Courthouse (18 March) Judge of Appeal Anthony Cross KC agreed to hold a one-day appeal hearing on 13 June.
