Dates set aside in November to consider more evidence in Dr Ranson tribunal

Panel looking into disclosure after ruling former medical director was unfairly dismissed

Dates have been set aside in November for more evidence to be heard by the tribunal looking into the unfair dismissal of the Island's former medical director.

The panel met last week to hear how the Department of Health and Social Care complied with a disclosure order ahead of a tribunal earlier this year.

The legal team representing Dr Rosalind Ranson has been asked to provide a written response to former health minister David Ashford's submission by 15 September.

Oliver Segal QC suggested the Douglas North MHK failed to comply with the disclosure order - something Mr Ashford has since denied.

The tribunal has also asked the DHSC's advocates to provide an update on the outcome of the investigation into alleged concocted documents by Expol, as well as an update from the Attorney General's Chambers on its evidence by the same date.

The tribunal has asked all parties to keep three days in November (8-10) available to consider additional evidence to help inform its decision on the damages Dr Ranson will receive.
