Chance for Manx speakers to head to Ireland
Are you a fluent Manx speaker aged between 18 and 30?
The Kaneen Bursary gives two young speakers the opportunity to attend a summer school in Irish language and culture, held in Donegal across July and August 2018.
Bursaries will cover all travel and accommodation costs, with holders asked to write or record a blog in Manx Gaelic on their return.
The scheme is made possible by a legacy from the late Manx scholar Professor Brian Kaneen, to help develop a wider understanding Gaelic cultures amongst young Manx speakers.
If you're aged 18-30, fluent in Manx and a resident of the Island, you're encouraged to apply.
For more information, contact Culture Vannin's Manx Language Development Officer Adrian Cain on 07624 451098, or adrian@culturevannin.im.
