Dedicated promenade patrols helping reduce anti-social behaviour

Police say 'so far so good' on new approach after issues in 2021

​Assigning designated police officers to patrol Port Erin Promenade has resulted in a drop in anti-social behaviour after issues last year.

That’s according to the Southern Neighbourhood Policing Team.

Last year officers say a ‘significant increase’ in the number of alcohol related issues – particularly during Saturday evenings near the beach.

Sergeant Ben Davies says he was keen not to see a repeat of the 2021 issues and says it's 'so far so good':
