Money raised at open day went towards life-saving device
A publicly accessible defibrillator has been installed at Peel Fire Station.
The lifesaving device was unveiled by fire crews and volunteers from Craig's Heartstrong Foundation.
The station had pledged 50% of the £1,014.29 raised from its open day earlier this year to the charity, which was matched by Zurich.
Chairman Paul Healey said the service would take on responsibility for the device, noting its position in a 'built up residential area'.
The fire service said: "A massive thank you to everyone who contributed to this, we really do appreciate your continued support at all our community events!"
