Tony Brown hopes phase two of School Hill development will take two years
The Chair of Castletown Commissioners says a 'lengthy delay' to the second phase of its School Hill housing redevelopment scheme was due to the tender process.
Tony Brown says that has now ended and the local authority is waiting for money to be released from the Treasury to cover the cost of the project.
He hopes the second phase will be completed in about two years and is estimated to cost £11.5m.
Mr Brown says a number of other commissioner's housing estates are being reviewed to 'ensure' there are enough properties in the town.
