Developer considers Castle Mona deal

Agreement is still some way off

It's been confirmed a developer is looking at the Castle Mona Hotel in Douglas – but a deal is still some way off.

There have been conflicting reports about the state of repair of the famous building on Douglas promenade.

However, a report commissioned by Tynwald described its condition as ‘fair’.

Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Geoffrey Boot says government is keen to avoid aquiring the building by default.
