Minister confirms Department does due diligence before providing assistance
The Enterprise Minister insists his department knows who the beneficial owners are of companies receiving financial support from the government.
Douglas South MHK Kate Beecroft asked Laurence Skelly whether these details are recorded at this week's sitting of the House of Keys.
It comes following the Island's announcement, along with Jersey and Guernsey, that it intends to make beneficial ownership registers public.
Mr Skelly says this isn't a new procedure for the Department for Enterprise:
Bus dispute ‘a considerable way apart’ as talks continue, says infrastructure minister
Noble's bed capacity exceeding industry-recognised 'safe levels'
Government monitoring Middle East conflict with “great concern”, says chief minister
Lord Street Development will bring jobs and a renewed sense of pride
