Callister says time to 'move on'
An MHK says a decision by the Island's health minister left him 'no choice' but to step down from the department.
Onchan member Rob Callister says his position become untenable at the DHSC, after what's being called a serious disagreement with Minister Kate Beecroft.
He says leaving was a tough move to make so early into the new administration's tenure, but, due to 'personal reasons' - the specifics of which are as yet unknown - he felt compelled to.
While Mr Callister won't disclose further details of the disagreement, he told Manx Radio he's keen to move on:
