Damage caused during last winter behind the decision
The Department of Infrastructure has closed a section of the Raad Ny Foillan between Port Mooar to Maughold Head due to substantial damage over the course of last winter.
Officials carried out an inspection which highlighted the condition of the path had worsened to the point of being unusable.
Work is expected to begin sooner than anticipated as a result of the closure – but no completion date has been set.
