'No reason to doubt' Liverpool terminal will open this month

The Isle of Man Liverpool Ferry Terminal is expected to welcome its first set of passengers later this month, but we don't have a specific date.

Berthing trials have been conducted for several months, and the Steam Packet is understood to be carrying out the final touches, including checking the systems and installing software and hardware.

The project has become contentious following numerous delays and going heavily over budget with an estimated total spend of more than £70 million.

Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall was asked for a definite answer:
