Minister confirms case to extend tramway is yet to go to Treasury
The Department of Infrastructure needs to complete the work at Tramway Terrace before seeking funds to extend the horse tram tracks on Douglas promenade.
Currently, the tramway runs between Derby Castle and Broadway, despite Tynwald previously supporting proposals to install the rails through to the Sea Terminal.
Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall says his department still needs to put a case to Treasury for funding.
But the maintenance issues at Tramway Terrace need to be resolved first:
