Domestic abuse victims 'not being served well' by Island

MHK seeks new law update as Minister confirms work is underway

Victims of domestic abuse aren't being served well by the Manx legal system.

That's the view of Douglas Central MHK Ann Corlett, who asked for an update on plans to implement new domestic abuse laws at this month's Tynwald sitting.

She says the current system means there's limited support available:

Newly-appointed Home Affairs and Justice Minister Jane Poole-Wilson says work is underway to bring in the changes, but no timeline has been confirmed:
