The 2011 House of Keys general election is three weeks away, but today (Thursday, September 8) is the last chance for people to ensure they are registered to vote.
The cut off point for potential voters is 5.30pm this evening.
Head of the Electoral Registration Unit Peter Hannay says there is a good reason why there is a deadline for getting on the voters list (listen to audio file below):
Anybody who wants to check they are on the register, or ask any questions about the voting process, can ring 685753.
