Police examining tens of thousands of files, court hears
A court’s heard police are examining dozens of devices and tens of thousands of files after a man admitted possessing indecent images of children.
Forty-six-year-old Jonathan Heard, of Loch Promenade in Douglas, appeared at Douglas courthouse before magistrates.
Heard has pleaded guilty to four charges of possessing the indecent images on 8 October – the hearing was told police will need until the end of January to complete their digital investigation.
He was remanded in custody to appear again on 7 January.
