Drivers now allowed to park on walkway
A 20mph speed limit will remain in place along Douglas promenade, after the Department of Infrastructure chose to extend temporary traffic restrictions.
The measures will remain until at least mid-November, whilst work on regenerating the major highway continues.
Drivers can now park on the walkway, which reopened for cars this week, with a 10mph speed limit in force.
It's understood all parking places available on the promenade will be reviewed 'on a regular basis' as work progresses.
