Increase unanimously approved
Douglas rates for the forthcoming financial year have been set at 408 pence in the pound - a rise of 1.49%.
Councillors have been meeting at the town hall this morning (Wed 25th)
Last year there was no increase, the rate being held at 402 pence.
The new rate was approved unanimously by 17 councillors at this morning's meeting
