Key route closed for 90 minutes
The Peel road is open again this morning (Thurs 17th) after an accident at the Ballagarey crossroads in Crosby.
It happened around 6.30am and involved two vehicles.
Police asked motorists to avoid the area while they dealt with the incident and buses had to be diverted.
Fire crews removed the roof of one of the cars to help remove the driver who was then taken to Noble's hospital for a check-up.
The second driver was uninjured.
The road was closed for around 90 minutes while emergency services dealt with the incident.
