Drop in inflation figures no surprise says Chief Minister

A slight drop in the Island’s rate of inflation is not a surprise.

That’s according to the Chief Minister after the latest figures, measured by the retail prices index, showed a drop to 2.9 per cent.

That’s down from 3.1 per cent in January.

Food and rent has also continued to rise much higher than the general rate of inflation.

Allan Bell says it mirrors a national trend.
