Meeting to provide information on planned updates to Island’s Countering the Financing of Terrorism framework
A drop-in session will be held next week to support Isle of Man charities operating internationally.
Hosted by the Financial Services Authority, it's aimed at charities that may fall under the proposed new definition of a Specified Non-Profit Organisation (SNPO).
The meeting will provide information on planned updates to the Island’s Countering the Financing of Terrorism framework for NPOs, including the draft SNPO Code 2026.
Officers will be on hand from 4pm to 7pm to explain the impact of the proposed changes and answer questions from charity representatives.
Support includes a dedicated point of contact, free training, and template documents to help charities comply with the new requirements.
Manager in the Authority’s AML/CFT Supervision Division Dylan Pycroft, says the session will help NPOs understand their obligations and take steps to reduce risk without discouraging legitimate charitable work.
It will be held at the Promenade Methodist Church in Douglas on Wednesday 11 February 2026
