22-year-old starts brawl outside nightclub
A man’s been banned from licensed premises and fined after trying to start a fight outside a Douglas nightclub.
22 year old Ryan Benjamin James Mccurrie, of Duke Street in Peel, admitted being drunk and disorderly when he appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes.
The hearing at Douglas Courthouse was told Mccurrie had been thrown out of the Outback on Barrack Street.
Outside, he started shouting aggressively at another man before police asked him to leave the area.
He refused and punched the man in the face before running off, although Mrs Hughes heard no complaint had been made to police about the punch.
She fined Mccurrie £500, ordered him to pay £125 prosecution costs and banned him from entering licensed premises or buying alcohol for three months.
