Dry weather a worry for farmers

Lack of rain hitting crops and grazing

Some farms in the Island could be reaching crisis point due to the lack of rain.

The prolonged dry spell is having an impact on the availability of grass for grazing livestock, and the effects of the weather on crops could be long-lasting.

Chairman of the MNFU's Meat and Livestock Committee Ean Parsons says it's a worrying situation.
