Douglas man and woman from Willaston appear in court
A man from Douglas and a woman from Willaston have appeared in court over allegations they were involved in drug dealing and money-laundering.
Ross James McWhinnie of Clifton Terrace and Lisa Kim Barnett of Snaefell Road appeared before magistrates at Douglas courthouse.
Mr McWhinnie, aged 20, is facing a total of eight charges of possessing drugs with intent to supply them, being unlawfully concerned in the supply of drugs, transferring and possessing criminal property and possessing drugs.
Forty-one-year-old Miss Barnett is accused of transferring criminal property and being concerned in supplying drugs – neither defendant has entered pleas to the charges.
Mr McWhinnie was remanded in custody while Miss Barnett was bailed in the sum of £500, and both will appear again on 5 November.
