e-Gaming continues to be the largest sector
The economy grew by 3.6% in real terms last year, according to the latest government figures.
Official data shows Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased to £5.26bn pounds in 2017/18, up from £4.88bn.
Insurance was one of ten sectors which experienced growth, whilst other sectors - including tourist accommodation - contracted.
Growth in the e-Gaming industry during the year means it continues to be the largest sector within the economy, with a share of 21.1%.
Gross National Product (GNP) also saw an increase of 5.2% in real terms, compared to -1.1% in 2016/17.
The accounts contained within the latest report relate to the year 2017/18 and do not necessarily reflect the current position of the Island's economy.
