Cut from 15 to 10 members
The reduction in members on the Education Council is not a reason to worry.
That's the view of Manager of Legal and Administrative Services for the Department of Education Andrew Shipley.
In November, Tynwald approved the decision to reduce the council from 15 to ten members, prompting concerns about cuts to the advisory body.
Members serve a three-year term.
But Mr Shipley believes it simply means the department is making more effective use of the resources it has:
Friday evening sailings subject to possible disruption or cancellation
More services to be temporarily relocated from Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital
Warning in place for coastal overtopping
Port St Mary father continues to fight for change in drug laws
