It aims to tackle food waste
The Department of Education, Sport and Culture says it will publish a review on school meals 'in the coming days', but hasn't given a specific date.
The report was due over a year ago, but Minister Daphne Caine says other priorities took precedence due to limited resources, and the document needed 'significant redaction' before release.
It aims to tackle food waste, cut down on ultra-processed food, and increase the use of local produce.
Her predecessor, Onchan MHK Julie Edge questioned the timeline:
Mrs Caine says that while the report is still unpublished, it's already shaping departmental policy.
