Public must get on-board with strategy
People need to understand the importance of biodiversity.
That's the belief of Environment Minister Richard Ronan.
He was speaking after Tynwald unanimously approved a ten year strategy for protecting and preserving the Island's natural heritage.
Called "Managing our Natural Wealth", it's the Island's first such strategy and brings it in line with other countries around the world which have signed up to the International Convention on Biological Diversity.
Mr Ronan says getting members of public on-board with the strategy's aims is key to its success
