Education leaders challenged Beamans report

Disputed findings weren't altered, though

Senior members of the education department's management team challenged some of the findings of the recently-published Beamans Report.

The investigation highlighted a fractured relationship between the department and the Island's schools, and a lack of appreciation for teachers.

Providing an update in the House of Keys, Chief Minister Howard Quayle said the next six months will be spent working on an interim structure before funding for change is considered.

He stated the disputed findings hadn't been altered:
