A medical emergency on board this morning's Steam Packet fast craft crossing to Liverpool has delayed all today's sailings between the Isle of Man and Merseyside.
The emergency arose 30 minutes into Manannan's first sailing (16 August) and the vessel turned back to Douglas so the passenger could be taken off the ferry and treated.
Manannan's late arrival in Liverpool resulted in a delayed afternoon return, which was put back from 11.30am to 1.15pm.
That had a knock-on effect on this afternoon's sailing from Douglas, which the Packet says will depart no earlier than 5.15pm.
Tonight's Liverpool departure scheduled for 8.30pm is posted as running at least one hour late. Passengers should check in at the Pier Head no later than 8.45pm.
