Local authority says independent HR consultant was hired to investigate
Peel Commissioners has confirmed that a grievance claim made by one of its staff members has been upheld.
The local authority says an independent HR consultant was hired to investigate and the evidence provided was 'sufficient'.
It was opened in April, following a video by Commissioner Katryna Baptist raising concerns about poor governance, transparency and accountability within the commissioners.
Details of the grievance claim including who it was made by and its contents are unknown.
The local authority says recommendations about 'procedural and organisational matters' have been provided to each board member - with 'additional recommendations' provided to an individual commissioner.
The commissioners say it hopes to 'move forward' following the results of the investigation.
