Preacher's remarks criticised
The Manx Rainbow Association says everyone should have equal rights, regardless of age, race, religion or sexual orientation.
The organisation, which represents the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender communities on the Island, was responding to comments made by an arch critic of gay marriage.
Peter Murcott wants to stop the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Bill making its passage through the House of Keys, and has objected on religious, moral and legal grounds.
However, Lee Clarke from the MRA says the general view of people now is that everyone should be equal, and whilst Mr Murcott is entitled to his views, he is highlightling a grey area between religion and the law:
Bus drivers to hold off taking industrial action while talks continue
Regulation of Health and Social Care Bill pushed back to 2027
Manx patients will be contacted if appointments are impacted by UK strikes
Patient taken to hospital after medical emergency on board Manxman
