Legislation to improve employment rights
Up-and-coming equality legislation may significantly increase the workload of the Manx industrial relations team - that's according to their senior officer Julie Bradley.
She says the Equality Bill will add nine new protected characteristics and increase some employment rights.
The comprehensive legislation is currently awaiting royal assent, expected in summer of this year
Mrs Bradley says once official this will add to the increasing number of inquiries the relations team deal with.
She says the service will be prepared for the changes:
