Exam results u-turn will 'start to repair damage'

Education minister to discuss options with UCAS

The education minister hopes a u-turn by Cambridge International will start to 'repair the damage' after some students were initially awarded lower than predicted grades.

The exam board has now announced it will issue new grades to students, ensuring none are downgraded. It comes after Ofqual made a similar decision for GCSE and A-level students.

The moves will impact some who had initially changed their university plans.
