Exams are not getting easier, says education official

Department committed to continued improvement

A senior education official has challenged the assumption that exams are getting easier.

A-Level students received their results on Thursday, with 51.1 per cent of passes at the higher grades of A-star to B - the highest since recent records began in 2010.
