Exercise 'if it's safe' while shielding

Former surgeon urges shielding cancer patients to choose exercise locations carefully

Shielding cancer patients should continue to exercise, but only if it's safe to do so.

That's according to the chairman of the Isle of Man Anti-Cancer Association and retired consultant surgeon Malcolm Clague.

Those who are clinically vulnerable or extremely clinically vulnerable, which includes some cancer patients, are being advised to stay at home as much as possible, only heading out for essentials, medical supplies and exercise.
