Use of public transport didn't return to pre-pandemic levels despite £2 incentive
Reducing the cost of bus travel on the Isle of Man did not attract more people to use public transport.
The infrastructure minister has confirmed the £2 cap – which was introduced in November last year – won’t be continued.
More than £140,000 was allocated for the initiative which was brought in to try and tackle rising cost-of-living pressures.
However Chris Thomas told the House of Keys that 'unfortunately' the figures didn’t stack up:
